After two long flights, which shall not be mentioned, I successfully navigated the underground to my hostel, by which time it was about sevenish.
I then waited on the door step of the hostel for a while, because the door was locked, when I got in, I couldn't check in until 2pm, but I could eat their breakfast, which was pretty reasonable.
Then I wandered off I. A random direction and got lost. Here are a few landmarks along the way

After wandering and getting very lost, I bought an oyster card, and hopped on a random bus for one stop, and changed onto a bus going to Hyde park:

I am currently sitting in Hyde Park, admiring the view, (see photo
below) and drinking elderflower and lemon tea, which quite exceeded my expectations, and is rather tasty.

Tommorow I'm planning on getting a hop on hop off bus ticket and do a quick tour of the highlights of London.
Edit:
I'm actually posting this from a pub called the Shakespeare, chosen for it's free wireless, before going back to the hostel to check in, buy my trainticket to wales and shower, before deciding what to do in the afternoon/earlyevening, probably going to a tourist attraction to eat dinner before crashing.

ReplyDeleteDone more stuff today, will post tonight.
ReplyDeleteTired though, made the mistake of taking a nap yesterday arvo, and woke up at 2:30 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep.
You will get a good look at availablity of free wifi sites across Great Britain. I hope there are plenty. The weather looks great.
